5 dead, 20 injured in mass shooting at Maryland newspaper office At least five people were killed and 20 were injured in a mass shooting at the offices of the Capital Gazette, a daily newspaper published in Annapolis, the capital of Maryland in US on Thursday. A suspect has been taken into custody and police are were working to secure the building at 3.30pm. Phil Davis, a court and crime reporter for the Gazette, confirmed that multiple people had been shot. Davis said that a lone gunman had shot through the glass door of the offices and then opened fire on the newspaper employees.
