RS Sharma reappointed for 2 yrs as TRAI Chief Telecom Regulatory Association of India (TRAI) Chairperson RS Sharma, who had infamously made his Aadhaar number public on microblogging site Twitter in a bid to challenge hackers, got an extension of two years just a day before his retirement. The Union government through the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the cancellation of Ram Sewak Sharma’s resignation while the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed the order. A 1982 Jharkhand cadre batch IAS, Sharma joined as the TRAI Chief in 2015.
