Delhi bound Kaifiyat Express derails in UP, over 50 injured At least 10 coaches of the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed near Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya district late on Tuesday night injuring over 50 people, media reports said. This is the second accident in UP in span of four days and occurred after the train collided with a dumper, the report added. Utkal Express Derailment: 4 officials suspended, 3 sent on leave; FIR registered In a bid to send a strong message against negligence, the Railway ministry on Sunday suspended four officials and sent on leave three senior officers, including a member of the railway board in the aftermath of the Khatauli tragedy in UP's Muzaffarnagar. The chief track engineer was also transferred hours after the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had promised action against those responsible which killed 24 people on Saturday. Several media reports had said that the driver of the train was not informed about the repair work at the spot and was forced to apply the emergency brakes at the time of the accident, a theory that was backed by witnesses in the area. An FIR has been registered against unknown persons under IPC Section 304 A, on the grounds of death due to negligence, amongst other cases.
