ISRO launches India's heaviest rocket GSLV Mark-III sucessfully 


Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday succesfully launched India's heaviest rocket GSLV Mark-III from  Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.



The rocket GSLV-MK III D1 carried GSAT-19 communication satellite, which weighs 3,136 kg, into orbit is also the shortest rocket at 43 metres or roughly as high as a 13-storeyed building and could be ISRO's vehicle of choice to launch people into space.

Four Arab nations boycott Qatar, accuse it of supporting terror firms 


Four Arab nations - Saudi Arabia Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen on Monday decided to cut all diplomatic ties with Qatar and accused it of allegedly supporting terrorist organisations like ISIS and Al- Qeda in a fresh round of tensions between the two sides.

Following the development, Etihad Airways cancelled all flights to Qatar after which Qatar Airways suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia.

Egypt is a late announcement said that it would suspend all air links with Qatar starting Tuesday.

24 killed in UP's Bareilly after bus collides with truck


At least 24 people were killed and more than 15 injured after a passenger bus and a truck collided on the National Highway near Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, media reports quoting police officials said.

The accident happened around 2:30am when a bus from New Delhi heading towards Gonda collided head on with a speeding truck coming from Lucknow following which the fuel tank of the bus burst into flames, the report added.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs Rs 50,000 to the injured.

20 injured in Tent collapse in MP 


At least 20 people are injured after a tent collapsed following a thunderstorm on Monday during an event in Madhya Pradesh attended by CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, media reports said.

The injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals and an inquiry has been ordered over the incident, the report added.

Shooting in Orlando, fatalities confirmed: Florida police


Mulitple fatalities were confirmed by Florida police on Monday following a shooting incident in an industrial area in Orlando, Orange County sheriff's office said adding that the situation has been brought under control.

More details are awaited although the incident that happened on Forsyth road has been contained, the sheriff's office added.
