Shah, Mufti wage war of words over Jammu & Kashmir
Distanced former allies of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP and PDP on Sunday lashed on each other, alleging that each had failed the narrative of the state. While BJP Chief Amit Shah on Saturday slammed the Mehbooba Mufti government for failing the state and not using the funds allocated by the Centre, Mufti on Sunday said ‘false charges’ were being levelled against her party. “It is sad to see them disown their own initiative and label it a 'soft approach'," the former Chief Minister wrote in microblogging site Twitter adding that the PDP was always committed to the alliance. Mufti’s soft approach jibe was targeted at BJP leader Choudhary Lal Singh, a former minister in the J&K cabinet, who earlier commented that Mufti’s ‘soft approach’ has led to growth in terrorism.
