Kamal Hassan likely to launch own party, says will join hands with Rajinikanth
Putting all speculations to rest, Kamal Hassan on Friday announced his decision to join politics, adding that he would be launching his own party. Haasan also revealed that he would join hands with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth if he were to ever join the political world. Insisting that none of the present political party ideologies appeal to him, the actor added, “Which existing political party can provide me with a platform or an ideology that will match my reformatory goals in politics?” Hassan has been vocally critical of the AIADMK government, while publicly endorsing friendly relations with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM chief Sitaram Yechury. The actor drew speculations on his political leaning after his "Left leaders are my heroes, I am certainly not saffron,'' statement.______________
Indian- American doctor stabbed to death by patient
An Indian origin psychiatrist, in Kansas, USA was stabbed to death by one of his own patientson Friday morning. Dr. Achut Reddy from Telangana was brutally stabbed and suffered multiple knife wounds after which he succumbed to his death on the spot, Wichita Police Department said in a statement. The accused, identified as 21-year-old Umar Rashid Dutt, also belongs to India, was arrested on the statement of the office manager who witnessed Dutt in the act and called the police. Reddy had been practicing in Kansas since 1989 and was also a yoga and fitness expert. The 57-year-old is survived by his wife, Beena Reddy and three kids.

Gauri Lankesh Murder: Assailants wandered around house twice before murder
Media reports on Friday claimed that the Karnataka Police have sourced a CCTV footage showing the alleged killers stalking late journalist cum Activist Gauri Lankesh around her house twice on the day of the killing. Sources say the visits were made twice, once at 3pm and again at 7 pm by a person wearing a white shirt and a black helmet and riding a scooter. Gauri Lankesh, the editor of a Kannada weekly was shot dead at her house in Bengaluru on September 5. Ten days after the incident, the forensics reports revealed that bullets and cartridges found from the murder site were from the same 7.65-mm countrymade pistol used for the killing of Kannada research scholar MM Kalburgi._______________
Ryan Child Murder Case: Haryana Govt take over school; Probe handed over to CBI
The Haryana Government on Friday took control over the Ryan International School, Gurgaon for the next three months and handed over the probe into the murder of 7-year-old child to the CBI. Pradyuman Thakur, a class 2 student from Ryan, was found with his throat slit outside the school washroom just moments after being dropped off by his father. The school bus conductor, Ashok was arrested after his alleged confession of the crime although the motive behind the murder is still unclear. Although the police have procured a CCTV footage outside the toilet which shows the young child crawling outside the toilet ther has been no solid proof against the accused. The post-mortem report ruled out any sexual assault while the Delhi Government’s Transport department impounded 250 school buses, including 10 of Ryan International Group of Institutions, during its drive against faulty school vehicles, as a matter of safety concern of the school students.______________
Blue Whale Challenge: SC issues notice to Centre on plea seeking ban
The Supreme Court on Friday sought a response from the Central government in three weeks on a plea seeking ban on the Blue Whale Challenge by a 73-year-old man from Tamil Nadu. The Blue Whale Challenge has reportedly been linked to the deaths of several teenagers across India. Earlier, the Delhi Court had sought the response from internet giants Facebook, Google and Yahoo on a plea to direct them to take down the links of the Blue Whale challenge, on August 22. Media reports had cited at least 200 deaths due to the Blue Whale challenge.______________
Odisha: Around 230 children fall ill after having mid-day meals
At least 230 students from a government school in Odisha’s Malkangiri and Kalahandi districts fell ill after consuming their mid-day meals on Thursday and Friday. 150 girls of a government-run residential school from Malkangiri’s Badapada village were taken to a local hospital when they started vomiting and complaining of stomach ache after breakfast, media reports quoting local officials added. In August, SC asked the Centre and states to submit their reports on the functioning of such schemes in government schools.______________
Sehwag claims lack 'setting' cost him the Indian Coach role
Former cricketer Virender Sehwag on Friday said that the only reason he missed out on the coaching role for the Indian cricket team is because of the lack of ‘setting’ he had with the selection committee. Earlier, the former Indian opener had reportedly submitted a 2 line resume to the committee after interim director Ravi Shastri left his post. Sehwag also claimed that he was misled by many BCCI officials to take up the post as coach. Sehwag who was also Virat Kohli’s 1st choice lost out to Anil Kumble who was eventually sacked in 2017. Sensex, Nifty post best weekly gains in two months
The Indian indices closed flat today due to geopolitical tensions after North Korea flew amissile over Japan, but still posted the best weekly gains in two months. The BSE Sensex rose
0.1 percent to 32,272 for the session, while ending the week 1.76 percent higher — its best
performance since July. The NSE Nifty 50 Index was unchanged at 10,085, with a gain of 1.52
percent for the week. ONGC, Bajaj Auto and Coal India rose the most today, as ITC, NTPC and
Induslnd bank were among the top losers.

Tata Sons wants to be a private Ltd company, Cyrus Mistry to Oppose
Tata sons limited is looking to change its status from a public company to a private ltd company, media reports said on Friday. It has requested the shareholders to amend the Memorandum of association and articles of association. The shareholders will take a decision on 21st September, during the annual general meeting (AGM). This change is required to be cleared by 75% votes and approval from the National Companies Law Tribunal (NCLT). The Mistry family has objected to the decision by calling it a way to oppress the minority shareholders. Currently, Mistry owns 18.4% of the company’s shares whereas Tata Trust, the parent company owns 66% of the shares.______________________

Bitcoin prices drop after China announced to stop trading
Prices of the digital cryptocurrecny fell tremendously after Chinese bitcoin exchange announcedthat it will stop all trading from September 30. BTCChina, one of China’s largest bitcoin
trading platforms, will stop registration of new users on Thursday due to the crackdown by
regulators. The bitcoin has fallen $1,000 since the start of the month. It was trading above
$4,600 dollars in August 2017. Price of the bitcoin in Indian rupees is approximately Rs. 2.34
lakh , whereas it had crossed the 3 lakh mark in August.

GST claims of 65,000 crore rupees under scanner
Transitional credit claims worth Rs 65,000 crore received from traders under GST have stumpedthe government and the tax authorities are now preparing to check the veracity of claims of
over Rs 1 crore as it does not rule out ineligible claims “due to mistake or confusion”. Apart
from transitional credit, government would also receive claims for input tax credit, the figure
of which is not yet known. Arun Jaitley said that the government collected Rs 95,000 crore as
GST for July.
