India to appeal against Jadhav's death sentence: Envoy
India on Friday said that it would appeal against the death sentence to Kulbhushan Jadhav and demanded from Pakistan a certified copy of the charge-sheet as well as the army court order in the case, Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad Gautam Bambawale told news agency PTI in its report.
India has also sought consular access to the retired Indian navy officer which has been turned down by Pakistan at least 13 times in the last one year, Bambawale revealed.

Curfew continues in Odisha's Bhadrak, 146 arrested so far
Curfew continued in Bhadrak on Friday evening despite the town showing some respite after a series of violent incidents sparked by alleged abusive remarks against Hindu deities on social media.
As many as 146 people have been arrested so far during the crackdowns by police in connection with the April 6 and April 7 violence and multiple raids are underway to nab the troublemakers, a senior official told the media.
The official added that discussions will be held with the leaders of both the communities involved in the clash as part of efforts to ensure harmony and amity in the town.

Five arrested for heckling Jawans in Kashmir on polling day
Five persons were arrested by the Jammu & Kashmir Police on Friday in connection with heckling of CRPF personnel on polling day in Kashmir's Budgam district on April 9, video of which went viral, police said.
After receiving a complaint from the CRPF, five persons were arrested, and a hunt was on for others seen in the video shot in Budgam district, police added.
Senior officials have lauded the army and other security forces for maintaining discipline despite being attacked by the mob.

No Holidays in UP Schools on Death, Birth Anniversaries of Great Men: Yogi
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday announced that the tradition of holidays in schools on the occasion of death and birth anniversaries of great men will now be scrapped.
Addressing a function to mark the 126th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Yogi said that rather, students will be taught about these great men during a special session of two to three hours on that day.

1st double hat-trick in the history of IPL
In a first of its kind record, two hat-tricks were on display in two different matches on the same day in the 10 edition of the IPL.
While West Indian leg-break bowler and RCB player Samuel Badree became the first player in the 10th IPL to get a hat-trick against Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Banglore on Friday, Gujarat Lions pacer Andrew Tye stole the show in his debut game by picking up three against Rising Pune Supergiants.
While Gujarat Lions went on to win their game against Pune comfortably, it was a single man show by Mumbai'Indians' Keiron Pollard to take the game away from the RCB in spite of the fall of three consecutive wickets right at the start of the game.
