Hailing Bangladesh, Modi slams Pak for 'Backstabbing'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday showered praise on Bangladesh and slammed Pakistan by saying that it prefers to "backstab over trust" and that its "thought" is a roadblock to peace in the region.PM Modi who is currently hosting Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina said that Pakistan has to shun terror for friendship and that India's doors are always open for cooperation.
While inking around 22 pacts with Bangladesh, PM Modi assured an early solution on the water sharing issue of the Teesta river.

Sex ratio in Haryana touches 950 mark for first time: Khattar
For the first time in the history of the state, the sex ratio at birth in Haryana has touched the 950 mark, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said.
The figure has been achieved following a strict effort to improve the sex ratio through a sustained campaign as part of the Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao Andolan, Khattar added.

Fake call centre scam mastermind arrested in Mumbai
Sagar Thakkar alias ''Shaggy'', the alleged mastermind of the Internal Revenue Service call centre scam in which thousands of Americans were defrauded to the tune of USD 300 million, was arrested by Thane Police.23-year-old Sagar, who was on the run since the scam came to light last year, was placed under arrest on Friday night after he arrived at the Mumbai airport following his deportation from Dubai.

Dholpur bypoll: VVPAT machines to be used for first time in Rajasthan
Voters in Rajasthan will exercise their franchise through VVPAT machines for the first time on Sunday for the bypoll to Dholpur Assembly seat, preparations for which have been completed.
"The system contains ballot unit, control unit and VVPAT and after the voter press button, a paper slip appears which contains the name of the candidate and the party symbol that verifies that the vote was cast correctly.
The paper slip is visible for seven seconds before it gets dropped to a drop box. It brings more transparency in the electoral process,"an official said.

Summons in Property Partition Case Sent Via WhatsApp
In a first, a court of financial commissioner in Haryana headed by IAS officer Ashok Khemka has ordered serving of summons in a property dispute case through WhatsApp to one of the respondents who shifted to Kathmandu.
Summons in such cases are usually sent by registered post to the physical address of the respondents, but Khemka in his order observed that law follows technological advancements.

Indian shot dead in US, Sushma Seeks Report
A 26-year-old Indian was shot dead, allegedly by two masked armed robbers, at a convenience store of a gas station on 6 April, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted on Saturday.
The victim Vikram was working as a clerk in the store at AM-PM gas station in Yakima city of Washington, and was behind the counter when two people in masks went in and robbed the store, media reports on the incident said.
