India, Pak exchange verbal fire over Kulbhushan Jadhav


Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that his country's armed forces are fully capable to respond to any spectrum of threat after India said that the consequences of executing Kulbhushan Jadhav, the alleged spy will affect the bilateral relationship between the two countries badly.



Earlier, Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj had warned Pakistan that the execution of the death sentence handed down to Jadhav by a military court would be taken as "pre-meditated murder" and Islamabad should consider its consequences.

Will end Triple Talaq in 1.5 years: Muslim Law Board V-P


The Vice President of AIMPLB has said that the board will end the practice of triple talaq itself in one-and-a-half years and the government should stay away from the matter.

Although the Shia scholar termed the triple talaq system as unfair to women, he added that the issue was a personal affair for the community and they would solve it themselves. .

Declare cow as National Animal: Congress MLA


A Congress MLA in Gujarat on Tuesday has demanded that the cow be declared as a national animal and a law should be enacted to ban cow slaughter across the country.

“What stops the BJP from bringing a law banning cow slaughter in states like Andhra Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, West Bengal and Goa?” a release quoting Dariyapur MLA Gyasuddin Shaikh said.

Three Blasts near German club's team bus, One player injured


Three explosions occured near German club Borussia Dortmund's football team bus as they left the hotel to go to the stadium” to play a Champions League quarter-final against Monaco leaving one player injured and damage to a window of the vehicle, media reports quoting police sources said.

The incident occurred at about 7.15pm local time in Dortmund’s Höchstem district, approximately six miles (10km) from the club’s stadium, police added.



The injured player has been identified as Marc Bartra and He was taken to the hospital immediately. However, there were no reports of other injuries.

Post the blast the club announced that the quarter-final match has been postponed until Wednesday.

EC orders repolling in 38 polling booths in Srinagar


THE ELECTION Commission has ordered fresh elections in 38 polling booths in Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, which saw violent clashes and a voter turnout of just 7.14 per cent during the bypoll on Sunday.

All the polling stations where re-polling will be held on Thursday are located in Budgam district, where seven people were killed in firing.

Officials said that at most of these polling stations, protesters had snatched away the electronic voting machines (EVMs).
