Sena MP thrashes Air India official with slippers, Blacklisted
A Member of Parliament belonging to the Shiv Sena on Thursday thrashed a senior Air India official with slippers, tore his shirt and broke his spectacles following an altercation over seating arrangement.
Ravindra Gaikwad who had a business class ticket insisted on taking the airline's early morning flight AI-852 from Pune to Delhi, which is an all-economy class.
The argument with the airline employees over a Business class seat started in Pune after which Gaikwad assaulted the 60-year-old on-duty manager after the aircraft landed in Delhi.
Following the incident an FIR has been lodged against the MP by the airline and he has been blacklisted from travelling on Air India flights.

PM Modi warns BJP MPs not to seek transfer favours from CM Adityanath
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday warned BJP MPs from Uttar Pradesh to refrain from seeking favours from newly appointed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in transfers and postings of officials.
Modi said that his administration should be allowed to focus solely on delivering good governance as the mandate by the people is clearly for the development model.
Meeting the MPs over breakfast, Modi thanked them for working hard in ensuring BJP's resounding victory in the UP assembly polls and asked them to work with party MLAs as a team to transform the state.

UK Parliament Attacker identified as 52-year-old Briton Khalid Masood
The accused in the Wednesday's parliament attack in London that killed three people and injured dozens has been identified as 52-year-old Briton Khalid Masood, Metropolitan police Scotland Yard said on Thursday.
Masood, born in Kent has been on the list of the British police after a series of criminal convictions including possession of offensive weapons and public order offences but none related to terrorism.
The confirmation about Masood came after the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the incident and termed the attackers as their 'soldier.'
British Prime Minister Theresa May too had confirmed that Masood was investigated by MI5 for 'violent extremism'

GST Bills to be presented in Parliament next week: Arun Jaitley
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said legislations supporting the implementation of goods and services tax will be introduced in Parliament next week.
The finance minister maintained that GST is likely to be rolled out from July 1.
Jaitley said there is long procedure before the Bills are introduced in Parliament and the GST Council cleared those four bills only last week.
"All that exercise has been completed in the last 2-3 days... Next week, it should be introduced in Parliament and then taken up for consideration," he said at an award function of CNBC TV18

Lucknow's Tunday Kebabi Stops Serving Beef Kebabs
Lucknow's legendary Tunday Kebabs had to shutdown for a day citing lack of buffalo meat following the ban on illegal slaughterhouses ordered by newly appointed chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
This is perhaps the first time this has happened in more than a century since the shop was established in the Chowk area of Lucknow.
Now, the shop is open but it is no longer selling their trademark kebab which is a treat for tourists who visit the shop from worldover.
