Sunstroke kills 3 in Maharashtra, Heat wave across India
The Maharashtra government on Thursday announced that at least three people had died owing to sunstroke in the state in the last three days in what can be termed as the first casualties of the heatwave in 2017.
The metreological department has issued a heatwave warning for northern, western and central regions of India, particularly in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and northern Maharashtra after the mercury rose five degrees above normal in all these regions.

Sharad Pawar, Virat Kohli among others conferred the Padma award
Political stalwarts Sharad Pawar, Murli Manohar Joshi and former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma, cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood singer Anuradha Paudwal were among the 39 people were conferred this year's Padma awards at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

UP meat-sellers meet Adityanath, May call off Strike
Lucknow: As the indefinite strike against the crackdown on illegal slaughterhouses continued for the fourth day across Uttar Pradesh, representatives of the agitating meat-sellers and exporters met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to find a solution to end the deadlock.
Addressing a press conference post the meeting, the representatives urged the striking meat-sellers to end the strike following assurance from the CM that the interests of all genine operators will be protected.

BS III Ban: Huge discount on Two-wheelers, Cars for a Day
Two days after the Supreme Court banned the sale and registration of vehicles which are not BS-IV compliant from April 1, 2017 across the countr, automakers are offering huge discounts to sell off their pending inventory before the deadline.
While companies like Honda and TVS are offering anywhere between Rupees 7,000-15,000 discount, four wheelers are being offered discounts ranging from Rupees 50,000- 1 lakh.

UDAN Scheme: 2500 Cap for One-hour Flights
The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Thurday launched the Udan scheme in a bid to increase the regional air connectivity and get more planes to unserved and underserved airports at around 45 places.
Around 13 airports in Tier II and Tier III cities will get to see more flights than the once-in-a-while flights and the government has also capped the fares to just Rs.2500 per hour for 50 percent of the seats on each flight.
TVF CEO Arunabh Kumar Booked again for Molestation
Days after Arunabh Kumar, the CEO and founder of The Viral Fever (TVF), one of India's leading digital studios was accused by several women of having sexually molested them, a second case has been registered at the Versova police station on Thursday.
The Mumbai Police first booked Kumar on Wednesday. Earlier, according to reports Mumbai Police was planning to shut the case after no women came forward to lodge a complaint against Kumar. In an official statement, TVF had termed these allegations as "ludicrous" and "defamatory".
